hi Vinette.
Can t-shirts be sewn from a non-knit material?  How would you measure for the ribbing?  If I need a knit fabric, where would you recommend ordering from online?  Do they still make Kwik-Sew patterns?

Unfortunately we live in a remote area, and even in the town we shop in has no fabric stores.  Nearest one is a couple of hours away.

HI Carolyn,
T-shirts from non stretch material would not work.  

Ribbing is usually three fourths of the total length.  12 inch measurement = 9 inches of ribbing.
