Question
I have vogue pattern 2651 in size 16 - I need to enlarge to sz 20 the left front and back as well as the right front and back are one piece any suggestions

Answer
Hi Rochelle,

As far as enlarging a multi sized pattern like this goes, it is relatively easy - as long as you can still see where the size "nests" sit.

In cutting the pattern out ready to make, did you cut it in the size 16 (as normal people do) or leave all sizes intact so you can use the pattern in a different size in future (as I do lol)?

If you left it intact, no problem - just follow the size grading pattern already started in the 12 14 16 pattern, and extend it to the 20.  its not the most accurate way to do it in the larger sizes, but it is a loose fitting jacket, so minimal differences won't matter.

If you cut the 16 out of the pattern, can you see the grading nest pattern?  Are you able to accurately follow it to enlarge to a 20?  Some patterns will still have enough information visible to be able to do it, some won't.  If it doesn't you'll have to buy the pattern in the right size and start over, sorry.

Hope it works out for you and happy sewing!
