Sewing - Pattern alterations for back of pattern

Question
I have a pattern for  muumuu style dress.  It has a yoke that everything hangs from and no waist.  It is gathered at the yoke.  The pattern fits except at the back.  When i pull my arms forward there is a lot of pull at the bottom of the yoke at the back.  The front fits fine.  How do I alter the back yoke piece to give me added ease at the back.  The arm holes are great and do not need to be bigger.

Answer
HI Sandra,
You can take the back yoke on the center fold, add the amount necessary to make it feel right.

Just make sure that the neck line does not get too open and fall off the shoulder.

A way to do this is to add the same amount to the neck opening that you add to the center back to keep the opening the original size.

hope this is clear.
