Sewing - how to thread a bobbin on Singer Model 717

Expert: Sharon Vogel - 1/16/2009

Question
I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to thread the bobbin into the machine.  I think I have the spool threaded correctly but am not too sure, and can't get the bobbin thread to catch through the needle. could you please provide me with the info on how to thread both the spool and bobbin on the singer Model 717 sewing machine. thankyou.

Answer
Dear Melissa,
I have the idea that you don't have the manual for your machine.  You can get one from the following link:
http://www.sewingmanuals.com/Sewing_Machine_Manuals/Singer_Service.htm

It will be very helpful for you to have this manual and will answer a lot of questions.

Good luck and happy sewing.

Sharon
