Question I have a pair of pants that the crotch is too long. The pants have an elastic waste band. How do I alter these pants so that they will fit me.
Thank you for any help you can give me.
Shelby
Answer Dear Shelby,
You can take up the crotch seam. Put the pants on wrong side out and pin up the crotch seam enough to fit. Take the pants off and baste the seam. Take out the pins and put the pants back on right side out. If they fit like you want them to, take them back off and stitch the seam permanently. Of course, if they aren't fitting, then adjust the seam before sewing it permanently.
