Sewing - rolled hem

Question
how do I sew a rolled him, using a rolled hem sewing foot

Answer
Dear Lynn,
It's funny you should ask this question because I just did a lot of rolled hemming on a chiffon dress I made for a friend.  If you have the sewing machine manual, I would follow the instructions presented there.  But if you don't, then you basically pull the edge of the fabric into the coiled up metal part of the foot, and stitch using a narrow zig zag.  Do some practice stitching on scrap fabric first to get the general idea.  Mine came out much better than I thought it would...I even amaze myself sometimes...lol!

Good luck and happy sewing!

Sharon
