Question
Hi Sharon, good to meet you. I currently have a couple pairs of jeans that need some stitching/sewing. I'm gonna be honest with you, I don't know the first thing when it comes to sewing clothes, if that is infact the proper term. But I'm tight on money and dont want these jeans to go to waste because of a couple of holes I could simply modify with some help. If you could demonstrate a certain technique or recommend websites to help I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much and God Bless

Answer
Dear Jordan,
I am sending along a couple of websites that give good instructions for repairs.  I hope they are helpful.

Basically, you will need some fusible web from the fabric store and some scrap fabric to make a patch.  Check out the remnant section for small pieces of fabric or use pieces of old jeans that are too far gone to patch.  Garage sales are a good place to find old jeans if you don't have any hanging around.  Big holes might require a decorative patch and you can also find those at the fabric store.

Good luck and let me know if you need more help.

Sharon
