Question Invisible suspenders go under a blouse to hold up a skirt. It is like a garter--a metal hook or eye---but without an attached button as a garter has. Elastic bands go over the should like suspenders and the hook or eye goes on a button sewed inside each side of the top frontof the skirt. My question is simply "What is the metal clasp or hook or eye called?"
Answer Dear Dee,
Well, you almost stumped me with this one because I had never thought of what that part of a garter is called. The following link is to a company which sells all kinds of corsets, garter belts, suspenders, etc. I am not absolutely sure this is what you were asking but I believe the part is just called a "tab".
