Sewing/Sewing Machine Help

Question
I have a Singer 2263 and my needle broke and when I replaced it, it no longer works.  I know the needle is in right and everything is oiled and such.  But now, my needle keeps hitting the bobbin shuttle, so something is out of line, or it needs to be re timed.  I'm really hopig it doesn't have to be re timed, can it be something else, any suggestions on how to fix it myself?

Answer
Dear Anna,
If you hit something with the needle causing it to break then it probably is the timing. The only thing I know of besides timing could be some lint or a piece of the broken needle is caught somewhere in the bobbin case or under the feed dog plate.  Use your sewing machine brush and a can of compressed air to thoroughly clean all areas then carefully try to run the machine.

Good luck and happy sewing.
