Sewing - taking in seam

Expert: Claudia Buchanan - 9/18/2009

Question
Can you help me take in my pants in the legs...they look to baggy and i would like them to be straight and mor tapered...any help would be appreciated. Thanks JEan

Answer
Start by taking out the hem.  Put the pants on wrong side out and have some one pin the area that you want to taper and ease into the taper section from the original seam.  Basically just stitch them down.  It is best to take out the original seam of trim it when you are finished tapering your pants.
