Question I've purchased a herringbone tweed loose woven wool for a lined Jacket. It ravels very easily and am afraid to cut the pattern. Is there a fusible interfacing I could use that is light weight that wouldn't add stiffness to the article and that I could apply before cutting out the pattern?
Answer Dear Virginia,
There is a product made by Sulky that is an iron on, tear away stabilizer. It is generally used for applique but I believe it would work in your case. The following link is for the product as it is sold at Joann Fabrics - http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat2845&PRODID=prd38129 Of course, it is sold at many other places. I just happened to find it here.
