Question
Q1: I have a fitted queen sheet and have a double bed, its too big for the bed. Please tell me how you would make this queen fitted sheet into a double fitted sheet??

Q2: What size flat sheet do I need to make a double fitted sheet??

Q3: Do you cut out a 12" square in each corner, then sew together, add elastic?? This is what I have heard.

Thank you M.

Answer
I would think. A flat queen would still work.  I don't know what the 12 inch square Is all about but...If you know how to sew you should
Be able to fit the corners with darts by pinning it while the sheet is on the mattress.  Adding elastic to the edges will reinforce it.
But you only need elastic on the corner edges, not the whole sheet.
I can't really give you more help than that as this is a practical  sewing step.   And if you need more help you might need a sewing  teacher  to show you.
