Question My machine is "locked" it seems to be a bobbin jam in the parts under the bobbin case
Answer Hi Margaret, don't be afraid to open the bottom and check around...there should be no gears to jam the machine...it operates with a timing belt...there must be a needle or a lot of thread caught up under the bobbin case...clean it out really good and use a touch of oil...it could also be that there is thread wrapped around the thread take up arm inside the nose cone...you might need tweezers or needle nose pliers to get it out...
Try these things it should get you sewing again soon...

exactly what was wrong cleaned under the bobbin case lots of lint removed added a drop of oil and machine is perfect again.
Depending on the mechanical knowledge off owner, I can answer just about any question they ask. One lady asked about her feed dogs not going back up, some machines will not go back up unless you turn the wheel over, (start sewing). It sounds simple but sometimes you never think of it.
I've been servicing sewing machines since 1989, I still service machines for Northwestern Ontario Canada. It is a large area with little or no service people and I can usually tell on the phone if it can be fixed by the owner.
Education/Credentials I took a 2 year apprentice course with a dealer who was looking to teach and hire. I worked for him for 8 years before moving up to the Northwest, Red Lake area of Ontario.
