Question
Thank you for your fast reply to my question.

But I have another one, the lever behind the machine when I rise it down it sort of not in line with the two single thread type things underneth the throat plate..how do I realign this
because that is what my needle is hitting.

Answer
Hi Leslie
Sounds like you are explaining the presser foot, and its alignment to the feed dogs.  Inside the left door area, you'll see where that post/shaft goes.  There is one screw that holds that adjustment.  You might loosen that screw, align the presser foot, and tighten.  To better help, perhaps you could email me at tf43@yahoo.com, and I might be able to help with photo's.

I Answer Sewing Machine Repair Guidence & Tip Questions Only. I DO NOT ANSWER "Value", or "How To Alter", or "Sewing" Related Questions...period. I can help on Singer`s 700, 600 series Touch & Sew`s, 400 & 500 Slant-O-Matic`s, and most older model Singers. Feather Weight`s (221 series), 15-91, 201 etc. I worked for Singer for 10 years, had my own repair business for another 10 years. Other makes entertained, but would rather stick to Singers of the older vintage. If you machine is newer than 1992, please do not ask me, as I am not up to speed on machines after that era. You might try the web site I have, to see if I do offer any advice there, but the focus in on those listed above. Feel free to visit my site: http://www.tandtrepair.com Kind Regards - Terry
