Feather Weight`s (221 series), 15-91, 201 etc. I worked for Singer for 10 years, had my own repair business for another 10 years. Other makes entertained, but would rather stick to Singers of the older vintage. If you machine is newer than 1992, please do not ask me, as I am not up to speed on machines after that era. Question I have a Singer Touch and Sew Model 648. I have lost the zipper foot attachment and am trying to find a replacement. Can you help? Do you know if some of the other models attachments would work?

Answer Hi Tanya,
If I recall right, didn't your 648 come with an all metal adjustable zipper foot. One that bolted onto the presser bar, and you had to adjust side to side, depending on which side to sew the zipper on?
I have zipper feet, but they are for the snap on/off type presser foot shanks.
Any zipper foot from any Touch & Sew will fit, providing it has the shank with it. Also, any foot from a 401A, 500A, 403, or 503 would fit.

You would need the shank, unless the 648 is already a snap on/off shank, which it should be, but think they sold the machine with a one piece foot back then.
So then all you need is the foot: part number 171480.
It is for the newer machines, but will fit the 648 without problem to my knowledge.
