About Christa
Expertise
I am studying to become a "Loveologist". I can answer a variety of questions ranging from explaining about each category of toys, "what goes where & why", I can offer you information about how to make one toy compliment another, how to best care for your items. I do seminars and workshops for ladies and couples. I have been working in this field for 5 years now and I can respectfuly tackle whatever issue that is brought before me. No topics are taboo. As humans, we have the right to be informed on how to achieve our optimal sexual selves. And, in all honesty, if there is a subject I am unaware of, I will do the research to find the best answer. I can also give you specific names of toys and where I reccomend that you purchase them.

My hope is to further pursue this field by either the Radio or perhaps PodCasting as well as in future projects like writing books.

Past/Present Clients
Out of respect for my customers and friends, I will allow for them to respond with their names if they wish to disclose them. The topics of sex and sexuality are very "ginger" and I recognise the HIPPA laws.

Question
Hi Christa. I need some advice and you looked like the best person to ask. I really liked your profile and I plan on checking out your webstore! OK, well I guess the reason I am writing is that I have been feeling very "UN-SEXY" lately. I gained a little weight from birth controll pills, I am 36 and I seriously don't have a libido. What do you think I should do to get in the mood?

Answer
There are a few things that you can do Dawn, and I can understand why you'd feel that way. Hormones are hard enough to deal with...then add the one's that are in a BCP and your own levels go nuts! Weight gain is not uncommon when on several methods of birth control. It is an unfortunate side effect that many ladies put up with to prevent pregnancy, clear up acne, or control PMS and regulate their Menstrual Cycle. I am not an expert on Self Esteem (a therapist) but, as a women, I know that when my weight fluctuates, I feel icky and I avoid intimacy or wearing sexy stuff to avoid that "un-sexy" feeling.

The problem with the libido can also be because of the hormones. Things get whacked out (sorry, that is a LESS than technical term LOL) and vaginal dryness or less self lubrication can happen, the desire factor is hard because it is also a mental (psychological) thing too. If we "feel or think" we are un-sexy, then we respond and act un-sexy. When we WANT sex and it is painful, then we might avoid intimacy...and since ROMANCE often precedes sex and is a VITAL part of your love or sexual relationship. You might be surprised that if you slip into some lingerie that you might feel a teeny tiny bit better, then put on the sexy shoes, and your sexiness might rise even a little MORE on the "meter" (LOL) You can do things to help your libido, like a female response cream (IE:  Cleopatra's Secret)a topical cream that is applied directly to the clitoris. It causes a warming or cooling sensation and creates a lot of self lubrication. It is one of those creams that they make that gets ya in the mood...without it interfering with your hormone levels. One other thought is that you might try asking your OB/GYN to change your pill to a different BCP with lower hormone levels because they seem to be interfering. I am also available to chat with you more if you would like. I hope that you know that you are NOT alone and I sympathize
with your situation. I wish you the best and I hope to hear from you again soon!!
