I am a secondary school English and Drama teacher in England and can therefore help current students with the texts which they are studying. DO NOT ASK ME WHERE HE GOT HIS IDEAS FROM! I know that it is a dreadful question to be posed as homework but I have recieved it dozens of times. The answer can be found in past questions.

Question
I need at write a speech on my life philosophy, What will happen will happen, unless you do something about it. to me it means you need to live life to its fullest and have fun. I need quotes from Shakespeare to support this. I need at least 3. I also need music, a poem and/or a movie to support it. Anything you can give me will be a great help. Thank you for your time, Ben

Answer
Ben,

So your life philosophy is Carpe diem basically.  Seize the day!

Hamlet's soliloquys explore the nature of existence and question how one should live (there are 3 main ones).  Midsummer Night's Dream has many passages which would fit.

Music should really represent you - and one phrase does not sum up a life philosophy in order for me to make recommendations.  Especially not when we will not share music taste and I am not a music specialist.  The music needs to represent you too.  I have a Linkin Park song as one of my favourite quotes but it might have nothing to do with your life - you see my point?  The Fugs, Metallica, Dream Theater, Nebula, Authority Zero, Bigod 20, Nena, Will Haven, Jin, YeLLOW Generation, Kiwi, The Nerve Agents, Elena Paparizou, MC Solaar and Andy Timmons have all done songs entitled Carpe Diem.

Film - gotta be Dead Poets' Society really!  Cliched but so perfect.

Poetry - Walt Whitman.  Read some!  It has to fit you!  But much of Whitman's work reflects this idea.

Also quote Thoreau and Walden.

Go find them!  Google them to make it quicker.  This is homework, which I am not here to do for you!  Those are my suggestions but you have to do the legwork yourself to earn the grade!
