where can i find a free mp4 film converter that will allow me to transfer dvd film to i pod?

Try http://www.globalshareware.com/Multimedia-Design/Cucusoft-DVD-to-iPod-Converter.... It converts nearly most of the movie files formats to MP4, but i don't know if it would directly convert a movie from a DVD directly to ipod format. I hope you will find it useful in a way or another.
