Answer
Use a software called Watermark Factory. It allows you to add text or image watermark to any picture. Protect your copyrights or simply add comments to any picture. This useful program has beautiful and easy to use interface. You will be able to process thousands of files in a few seconds.

User Guide:

1. HOW TO ADD A TEXT WATERMARK

1. Load an image list by clicking on the “Add Files” or “Add Folder” button.

2. Select the “Watermarks” tab page.

3. Press the “Add Text” button to add a text watermark.

4. Type text at the “Text Settings” page.

At this page you can also set font for the watermark, select a style, align multi-string text, and adjust text opacity. Furthermore, by clicking the “Insert Info” button, you can add information specific to each image, such as EXIF info, date, image size, file size, file name, and IPTC information.

4.1 – You can apply text effects (”Shadow” and “Emboss”) to a watermark.
To turn the effects on, please check the “Enable Effects” checkbox. Select an effect you want to apply to the image. Adjusting the “Shadow” effect, you can specify a color, adjust opacity, light angle, and shadow distance. The “Emboss” effect allows you to adjust text’s relief (with the help of the “Up” and “Down” flags).

4.2 – To set a background for a text watermark, check the “Enable Background” checkbox at the “Background” page.
For the background, you can specify radius, adjust opacity, select a color, and set margins.

5. Choose mode of positioning (”Manual,” “Tile,” “Auto Fit”).

5.1 – Manual Mode.
This mode allows to place a text watermark on an image, anchoring it to a certain corner (or edge) of the image. At that, you can specify vertical and horizontal offset.

5.2 – Tile mode allows to tile the picture with watermark.
You can specify vertical and horizontal space across the tiled watermarks.

5.3 – Auto-fit mode allows to automatically fit the watermark according to the size of the image the watermark to be placed at, considering specified percentage of the image size.

6. You can rotate the watermark according to a specified angle.

7. You can adjust opacity of the watermark.

8. After all necessary parameters are set, click “OK” to apply the watermark to the images.

9. You can save watermark presets to use them in the future.

Press the “+” button to add current settings to the preset list. To remove a preset from the list, use the “-” button. To apply a preset to a watermark, either double-click on it, or select it, and then press “Apply”.

2. With the help of the tags.

Use “?” to generate digits in the resulting filename

Also, you can adjust digital part of resulting filename by specifying number of leading zeros to be added to the filenames, as well as enumeration start point. To display filenames in lowercase, check the “Convert to lowercase” checkbox.
