Subject: Insect in goat head

Question
Recently while doing halal to a goat I came to know that a small insect lives in goats head. It seems all goats will have that 1 or more. After removing from head it dies. I would like to know how the insect reaches it head and what it does there?

Answer
assalamualikum. firstly did you yourself do the hallal ???????????? anyways the parasite that lives in the head of the sheep or goat is oestrus ovis . its alife stage of the fly and its a larval stage . it is seen in the airspaces of the nostrils ..... since a parasite its fallin off cannot be acause of death but its a lot of nuisance and hence the sheep or goat bang the head to hard objects when the larvae move in side the head and cause tickling sensation . the fly lays its eggs and the eggs hatch to larvae and move in .............. hope your query is answered .sorry for the late reply. i am now posted in a remote place with no net connectivity so........any more queries pls give a call on 9886912662 after 7  pm ist
