Question
We have a male shelti that is 18 years old, this past week we have been having a terrible time with him tearing things up(shredding mini blinds on the windows, eating the wood around the window seals etc) as we leave for work for the day,he has never did anything like this since we have had him as an 8 week old puppy. we don't know if the end is coming close for him or what but he is certainly causing havoc in the home.(he has full roam of the home we don't cage him) any idea why he would change so fast? Thank You

Answer
Hi Becky,

WOW.  18 YEARS OLD???

Ok, let's realize that your dog is about 126 years old here.  I would crate him now (with lots of comfy smell good dirty t-shirts and pillows), and I would not hesitate to call my vet.  If his body appears healthy, maybe his mind has not kept up?

Do this now if you haven't already.

Dave
