Question My 10lb sheltie Foxy is growling and NIPPING at my newborn son. I am fearful that she will bite him. Should I get a muzzle and if so where would I get one that small and for use for no biting.
I was wishing that she was not going to bite at him but she is and I dont know what to do. Foxy has been my one and only for ten years and I would like them to be able to coexist on the floor together. HELP PLEASE!!!!
Answer Hi!
It is very unlikely that Foxy will bite the child in my opinion.
Your Sheltie sees your child as either a sheep to be protected or as less pack order than her. Make sure you are firm with her that the baby is a part of your pack and you will protect him. Babies are wonderful things for Shelties, you must associate good things but be firm that nipping is not allowed.
