Shrubs/Yews

Question
I have yews across the back of our yard which are 35 years old and provided us wonderful privacy the past years.  However, several of them have died - is there anything that has caused the problem or is it just age?  The ones that died are all together.  The ones at either end are healthy.
Thanks
Bonnie

Answer
Bonnie,

I would recommend that you have the soil in that are checked for contamination or other problems. Was there any type of construction done in that area? If there was nothing spilled or no construction, I would recommend having the area checked by a tree care company for other issues.

Good luck,
