Question
cleaning out my grandparents house i found a fork it has 1847 rogers bros  ts on the back. well it is only 4.50 in long. and i was wondering what it is. thank you

Answer
Hello Angie, thank you for your question.

You don't say how many tines the fork has, but if it has four tines it is probably a baby fork.  If the tines are rather blunt instead of pointed, then it's definitely a baby fork.  A baby fork and spoon are used when infants are just learning to use utensils at mealtime.

If it has a different number of tines, let me know, because it will be a different utensil entirely.

Best regards,
Michelle
