Question I have the complete set of Rogers "Rosalie" flatware. It belonged to my grandmother. I'm not sure how to read the date. There are some dotted numbers through the patent (11656033). I'm curious to know if they have any worth.
Thank you for you time,
Beth
Answer Hello Beth. Hmmm, I'm not quite sure what to make of that number as it's not the design patent number, and the pattern came out in 1938, so there's no correlation there. Also, if there's a full patent date on the back of flatware, it's usually six digits, so I don't quite know what to make of that number. I did try to look for the patent online, but couldn't find it.
Value of a service for 12 in the Rosalie pattern, unmonogrammed and in excellent condition, is in the $125 to $175 range.
