QUESTION: The image of the spoon says Wm Rogers and Son AA on the back.  I have Wisconsin, NJ, New Hampshire, California, Florida, Maryland, Minnesota--1 of each.  They are obviously State related with Eagles at the end.  Just wanted more info on their history.  We had also sent 2 other images at the time--did you receive those?  They were 2 other pieces we are trying to identify.  The 1 was a fork that had Oneida only on the back.  The last was a fork (I have knives too) that has S.K. Zook on the fork and S. Kurtz Zook Lancaster Pa. on the knife.  I have searched a few books to identify a varety of flatware my grandmother had and these are the last I can't find any info on--I am looking for any info--thanks

Answer
Sorry for the delay in getting back with you, Cherie.  Frankly, I'm not going to be able to help you much with these.  They're all souvenir spoons, and that's really a whole different realm of collecting.  Add to that that they're all silverplate, and I'm really lost.  I can tell you the date to before the 1920's, but that's about it.

There are a number of website devoted to nothing but souvenir spoons.  You may want to snoop around there and see if you can get some info.  Here are a couple:

www.souvenirspoons.com
www.campanian.org/americanspoon.html

Regards,
Michelle
