Question
We inherited a set of sterling flatware several years ago (8 settings of 5 pieces/set).  We are trying to find the brand. The insignia in front of the word Sterling is the following:  a circle with a dot (or maybe a letter) in the middle and a set of 3 leaves on each side of the circle (or a backwards E on the left of the cirlce and an E on the right or a 3 on left and a backwards 3 on the right).  Can you identify this brand insignia.  Thank you.

Answer
Hello Bob.  My best guess from your description is the Frank M. Whiting Co.  You can check your mark against those shown on these two websites:

www.925-1000.com

If that's not it, a photo would help immensely.

Michelle
