Question
My wife has recently been given a flatware set that her father bought 30 years ago at a flea market for $100. The set appears to be gold ( I am assuming gold-plated ). The only markings I can see read WM Rogers with china stamped just under it. I can find no information about any wm rogers gold or gold-plated flatware. Can you help?

Answer
Hello David.

Yes, your set is gold electroplated.

I'm going to refer you to replacements.com to do some snooping around to find out what pattern you have.  Go to the silver section and look under International (they own the Wm. Rogers brand).  Start your search by looking at the pattern names that start with "gold" or "golden".  There will be a blue tab on the left of the screen that will enable you to search through thumbnail photos, which will make it much easier for you.

Michelle
