Silver and Flatware - ALVIN flatware - french scroll pattern

Expert: Michelle Lieberman - 6/16/2009

Question
I have an 8 place setting set plus other pieces of ALVIN sterling flatware, French Scroll pattern, that I would like to sell.  How do I go about determining where to get the best price?

Answer
Hello Debra.  To get the absolute best price, you need to sell it directly to the consumer.  You can do this yourself through a venue such as craigslist.org (free) or through a consignment shop (you pay a flat rate or percentage).

Next on the list would be through a good auction company.  Further down the list would be an estate liquidation company or an online auction such as eBay.

Good luck to you.

Best regards,
Michelle
