Silver and Flatware - Holmes and Edwards flatware

Question
I have 12 settings of holmes and edwards century pattern (teaspoons, forks, knives plus 1 soup spoon). Any idea of the worth? and the best way to sell it? and this is probably a stupid question but should it be cleaned before I attempt to sell (assuming its worth anything)?  Thanks for your time.

Answer
Hello Kelly, thank you for your question.

Your set of Century has a retail value in the $125 to $175 range.  Selling it yourself is the best way to go - try Craiglist.org - and stay away from eBay as you'll practically give it away there.  Your next best bet would be through a consignment shop, but you'll be paying commission for their serivces.

Yes, it should be cleaned.

Regards,
Michelle
