Silver and Flatware - Reed & barton A1 Silverware set

Expert: Michelle Lieberman - 6/5/2009

Question
I have a set of silverware, which is marked on the back "R & B A1".  I can not
seem to find the pattern name anywhere.  It is definitely silver or silver plated.
Any suggestions on where to look to find the pattern name?

Answer
Hello Sue.  The problem is you're looking in the wrong place.  R&B in this instance isn't Reed & Barton, it's R&B which was later a part of International Silver.  If you care to poste a photo of the pattern here, I can identify it for you.  Otherwise, go to replacements.com and go through the thumbnail photos under International.  The A1 indicates it's silverplate.

Best regards,
Michelle
