Silver and Flatware/markings on flatware

Question
I have some flatware that have a diamond, crest and a square (square has a p in the middle) as marking on the back of handles. What do they mean

Answer
Hello Debbie.  My first guess would be that it's for the maker Dominick & Haff, but the crest you mention doesn't really match up with their mark of a circle between a square and a diamond.  You can look up D&H's mark at 925-1000.com or SterlingFlatwareFashions.com to see if that's it.

If not, any chance you could post a photo?

Michelle
