Silver and Flatware/Candlestick

My mother gave me a candlestick, there is a hallmark  "sterling 925/1000" with the number 385, and also has a small bee or fly stamp. the total weight is approx. 142 gs. Could you tell me estimated worth, Thank You.

Hi, Luis.

There is a very good possibility that your candlestick has only a sterling outer shell with a cement compound inside. If I am correct, it is very difficult to determine the weight of the sterling. In cases like this, the design of the candlestick plays an important part in determining value.

Several silver manufacturers have used flying insects as part of their marks. Can you send me a good picture of the mark on your piece?

At this point, I'm guessing that the candlestick does not have a great value ($10 to $50). If I can identify it further, it's possible that I could revise my estimate.

Best wishes,
