Question
Baby Fork
Baby Fork
QUESTION: Sir,

The sterling baby fork in the attached photo has been recently refinished. Could you possibly identify the pattern. I would like to be able to obtain a matching spoon as a christening present for my granddaughter.

I always assumed it was  Gorham pattern but have been unable to confirm that.

ANSWER: Hi, Jim.

In a follow up, tell me what words and symbols are on the back.

Best wishes,

Jim

QUESTION: Sir,

As best as I can determine the symbol on the far left isa crown followed my maybe a fancy M then I cannot tell except that the word sterling is spelled out.

Answer
This could be the Martha Hilton pattern from Watson. Look at the picture on this page and see what you think: http://www.sterlingflatwarefashions.com/Patterns/Watson5.html .

If this is correct, you may have a difficult finding a matching spoon. www.replacements.com has some pieces of this pattern but I did not see a spoon like you want. However, I did not take a long look.

Best wishes,

Jim
