Silver and Flatware/old spoon

I have an old spoon that is engraved C & E.I.R.R. on the back.
What does it mean?

It may mean the Chicago & Eastern Illinois Railroad. It was once common for passenger trains, hotels, cruise ships, etc. to put their names on flatware and things like sugar bowls, creamers, coffee pots, etc. Most all such pieces were made of silver plate or stainless steel.

Best wishes,
