i am having trouble locating the correct trade mark with this spoon and we are trying to find the value

Answer
Hello.

This mark was one of those used by William Rogers Manufacturing of Hartford, CT. There were many silver companies with Rogers in the name and it's difficult to keep track of them and all the different marks they used. Many, including the one in question, were taken over by International Silver Company in 1898. Many of the Rogers brands and marks were used by International for years after that.

Your spoon is made of silver plate. Therefore, it has very little value based solely on its silver content. It may have value to collectors of souvenir spoons. I don't deal in souvenir spoons and do not know much about their value. However, you will find other reference sites in this article I wrote a few years ago: http://www.examiner.com/article/souvenir-spoons . Perhaps the owners of these sites can help you with value.

Best wishes,

Jim
