Im looking to purchase a 1905 Lunt Mount Vernon Design 71 piece sterling set
it includes
TEASPOON QTY OF 12
DINNER FORK QTY OF 12
DINNER KNIFE (HOLLOW HANDLE) QTY OF 12
SALAD FORK QTY OF 12
FLAT BUTTER KNIFE QTY OF 12
SOUP SPOON QTY OF 6

JELLY SPOON QTY OF 1

I want to make the seller a fair offer but im not sure how to value a whole set? what do you think a set like that would be worth?

Hello.

I think eBay is the best way to estimate the value of an exchange between two individuals. Looking at actual recent sales of this pattern on eBay, the selling price for a set like this would be somewhere around $1,000, I believe. You can search the recent sales yourself if you would like to confirm. Select "advanced" search and click the "Sold" box. Use "Lunt Mount Vernon" for the search words.

Another way to estimate a price is to sum up the values for all the matching pieces you see at www.replacements.com, then multiply by 0.3. This will give you a ballpark. Make sure you are looking at the page for non-monogrammed pieces.
