Silver and Flatware/1847 Rogers Bros

I have inherited a box of Silver and have no idea what to do with is.  Some of the pieces say K6 TRIPLE and 1847 ROGERS BROS.

Do you purchase these kinds of things or can you refer me to someone?

thank you,

This looks like the Old Colony pattern. International Silver Company now owns this Rogers brand and they introduced Old Colony in 1911.

Unfortunately, silver plate flatware like this does not hold its value very well. It's common to see used silver plate flatware sold by an individual bring about one dollar per piece. The Old Colony pattern might bring a slightly higher price. Heres an example of an actual sale on eBay: .

Very few dealers handle silver plate flatware. You might consider selling on eBay. Or, if an antique show is coming to your area any time soon, take your set by the show and talk with all the silver dealers there. You might get more an offer.
