I want to know how much the new amsterdam 629 is worth.

Answer
Hello.

"New Amsterdam" was a brand name from Knickerbocker Silver Company of Port Jervis, NY. They were known for silver plate items so I am assuming your piece is made of silver plate. I cannot verify this based on the model number you gave because records of specific model numbers are not readily available. To make sure, look for the word, "Sterling", on the bottom. If it's not there, we can feel comfortable with the assumption that it's silver plate.

Silver plate pieces generally do not hold value very well but this piece has a different type of design which might make it interesting to some collectors. My estimate is that an individual selling this piece might expect $15 to $30.

If you do see the word, "Sterling", ask a follow up question with that info.

Best wishes,

Jim
