First I want to thank you in advance for taking the time to answer my question. For the past week or two I've had these red bumps on both of my inner thighs that look like pimples. I have 8 bumps on my left thigh and 13 on my right thigh plus small tiny ones. If I stand up straight with my legs together, the area where the bumps are on each thigh touch each other. They do not itch but a couple of them hurt when I touch them.
At first I thought they were razor bumps. I don't really know if they are or not but I've been using the same type of razor and the same type of shaving cream for over two years and this is the first time this has happened. I will say though that the last time I shaved I ran out of shaving cream when I got to my thighs but continued to shave any way. Maybe because I didn't use the cream this outburst happened? The outburst happened probably about one or two days after the shave, don't really remember. By the way, I've shaved before without shaving cream and this never happened.
From looking at the attached image and reading this, what would you say the bumps are? What do I need to do to get rid of them? Will they go away? Will they come back?
Thank you once again for your help.

Answer J,
Yes if sounds as if you irritated your skin enough to cause it to become even more sensitive to the friction from normal activity.
You could use an anti-inflammatory lotion such as zinc and tea tree to speed up the healing process.
I would let the hair grow a bit longer that usually before shaving again to insure you don't promote ingrown hairs too.
The zinc and tea tree lotion will also serve as an anti-septic and anti-bacterial aid.
