AboutDan Liddy Expertise Nearly anything pertaining to safety , and technique. 1100 jumps experience and some extreme altitude jumps.
Experience I was an active skydiver for over 24 years, participated in competitive meets, and in relative work meets quite a lot. Also I could be found at a drop zone nearly any weekend. I have made numerous intentional water landings, several night freefalls, and have participated in numerous large formation attempts.
Question what dose it feel like when you first jump out of a plane?
Answer If you have had proper training, it's like beginning a new adventure, and you are anxious to experience it. Once you climb out and stand on the step or wheel, holding onto the wing strut, you become nercous but your jumpmaster reminds you what your training requires (arch your back, spread your arms and hands evenly, head back and count from 'one-thousand thru seven-thousand at which time you should have a paachute open above you.
At that point you are happy and delignted that everything worked as planned (especially the parachute!) you start looking at the ground , getting oriented and start steering toward the landing zone.
It's exhilirating, there is no other life experience like it and I recommend it to everyone who is physically able to pursue it.
My first jump was exhilirating, and so was the last one I ever made, I am in love with every one of them for giving me a life that very very few people get to experience.
If nothing else could make you believe in God, skydiving might - - it's awesome.
