Question
Other than special body positions which other ways can you achieve a higher speed when free falling?

Answer
Hi Kate, you pretty much have the answer really. The way that we increase our speed is by changing our position. The less resistance the faster you'll fall. You can also add weight but normally this is only done by lighter skydivers who want to keep up with heavier skydivers without being uncomfortable, this is usually done by adding a few pounds of lead weight to a special vest worn around the waist.
I've heard of competitions where the aim is the reach the fastest speed but haven't entered any myself.

Hope this helps

Andy
