Question Hi,I'm from Macedonia and this week I am travelling to Trencin for summer internship. This is my first trip to Slovakia and I don't know much about the prices in Trencin or how much does it cost to spend not very luxurious month there with infront payed accomodation (without any meals).
Answer Hello Jovan,
first of all - sorry for replying this late, I have been camping for ten days and forgot to switch on the on-holiday status.
You may know everything about the prices by now. I have never been to Macedonia (unfortunately - we need visas there), but I have been to all the countries around there so I imagine you will find Slovakia a little bit more expensive than home. A little bit means maybe 20 - 50 more expensive. (But I may be wrong, of course...)
I would advise you to shop in supermarkets (Tesco, Billa, Kaufland, Hypernova) for all your groceries. It makes a big difference when you shop in the small shops. What you will probably find expensive is services (e.g. the barbers), travelling and restaurants. So if you need to save money, you will find yourself cooking a lot rather than eating out.
Find out as soon as possible if you can buy a month-long ticket for the city transportation. It will pay back if you travel by local buses daily.
