Question
I have heard that letting the fuel mixture in a gascan sit causes ethanol evaporation and then mixture is too watery, is there an additive I can use to help mitigate this, do I add before/during storage or after has been stored but before use in weedeater? how long is too long for fuel mix to sit before using.

Answer
Hello Molly:

You are Correct About the Ethanol Evaporation Problem with 2 Cycle Fuel. I Suggest you Mix your 2 Cycle and Add Stabil to the Mixture at the Time it is Mixed. Store the 2 Cycle Mix in the Coolest Place you have. Remember that this is a Petrol and will Ignite. I Store my 2 Cycle Mix Under my Out Building. With Stabil you have 1 Year to Use the Mixture. However, I Suggest you Not Mix More Fuel than you will Use in 3 Months. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck

Respectfully

John
