About Tom Adinolfi
Expertise
Can, and will, answer most questions pertaining to small engine repair, and service. But PLEASE furnish me with the proper Model numbers, and types to assure me to be able to answer your questions the most accurately as possible. If the problem is dealing with the frame, drive, or deck portion I need the manufactures numbers, if it is the engine itself, I need it's make and model numbers, rather than the frame's. Tom

Question
QUESTION: I am working on a craftsman lawn tractor model 917-271-660 and it sounds like it is knocking especially when I engage the transmission. I took the engine apart and we measured the connecting rod after I torqued it to 144 inch pounds and we got 1.502. I would like to know if that is within specs. The number on the connecting rod is 692-419. He is going to measure the crank tomorro thank you.

ANSWER: With what you have given me I have no clue what engine make, model, type number or anything else, as my profile states. You must supply me with these for there are thousands of engines in circulation across the globe, and I'm not that good of a guesser.....Tom
