Question
I have a 5 speed 1011 mower that has been working great. All of a sudden, after driving it about 5-8 minutes the engine just stalls out and won't restart. If I let it sit for about 10 minutes, it starts up again and works great for about 10 minutes then does the same thing. Won't restart until I let it sit 10 minutes. It has fresh gas and has been working 100% all season. Any ideas?

It sounds like there is a restriction of the fuel which could be trash in the carb and/or tank, or a plugged fuel line or filter. Remove the carb and give it a good cleaning, making sure all jets and ports are open. This would be a good time to check the fuel line and tank. You might also check the magneto arms and the flywheel magnet for rust and/or trash buildup. Hope this helps.
