Question
22" Weed Eater Q4.75 model 961140004 01. The governor is on what I call is wide open with no controls to slow the speed down. How do I get the governor to adjust and run at normal speed? I see the rod coming back from it and where it goes but don't understand how to fix it, can you explain?

Answer
Please get me the model type and Code number that is on the engine so i can get a look of the gov mechanism.  The model type and code will be on the engine stamped in the blower housing somewhere near the muffler, sparkplug or top of engine.  It will look something like this 12k405-0310-e1- 79033101

I will be able to better help you then
