Expert: John C. Bridgers Sr. - 7/4/2007

Question
I have a mower with a B&S 18.5HP Motor with a B&S 808656
fuel pump. This pump has a port for gas from the tank, gas to the carburetor and vacuum? input from the crank case. Which pump port is which?  See http://www.mfgsupply.com/m/c/22----10875.html

Answer
Hello Steve:

The Port on the Outside of the Pump is the Vacuum Port. The Inlet Port is the Top Port on the Back of the Pump and the Outlet Port is the Lower Port on the Back of the Pump. As Shown in the Site Addy Picture you Sent me; For Reference, the Port that is Hidden is the Top Port on the Back of the Pump. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck

Respectfully

John
