Question I have a 1999 Craftsman 15.5 horse riding mower with a Kohler engine. Recently it has started to die after doing a few laps around the yard. After I let it cool down, I can restart it and start mowing. It will go for a little while again and then kill. It keeps doing this.
Answer Hello Ron:
Operate the Mower as Usual. When it Quits, Immediately Check for Fire at the Plug. If No Fire, then the Coil.Ign Module/Magneto May be Bad. It can also be a Safety Switch Heating up or the Fuel Shut Off Solenoid Going Bad. Send me the Model Numbers Off the Engine and Mower, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manuals and Better Assist you. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.
