Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.) - Hit a rock; ouch

Expert: Paul The Truthmeister Clouse - 6/27/2007

Question
I've got a weed eater lawn mower with a 4.75 HP Briggs motor and I hit a loose rock about 2" diameter. It a mulching mower so it rattled around in there for a couple seconds while the engine stopped. Now I start it and it runs fine until I tilt it, then it clunks like crazy. What have I done?

Answer
In honor of the new "Die Hard" movie that came out to day, open the fuel cap, get a Zippo and repeat after me.  Yippee-ki-yi-yeah-mother......

You get the point.  Bent crank and a sprung deck,  non repairable

7 ON KNOWLEDGE!  You hit the rock not me!
